Beloved Lactnetters,
The newly-growing stance that mild jaundice, in an
infant showing signs of adequate intake, is normal
and/or beneficial, is also supported by Dr. Lawrence
Gartner's most current research.

I have been fortunate to hear Dr. Gartner speak on
several occasions. He is enlightening as well as
entertaining. He also emphasizes that the research
and treatment modalities he used even 10 years ago are
outmoded and not supported by current data. I deeply
appreciate his willingness to speak frankly about
revising his views.

I highly recommend attending any seminars at which Dr.
Gartner, the Jaundice Guru, is speaking. He is a
great person to have on our breastfeeding team!

hospital-based IBCLC,
who is SICK of seeing babies stuck under those lights
for first-time bili levels of 12!
