Nikki, I am also quite disgusted to hear about this case, especially after
you have gone the extra mile, and found a temporary solution that was
working, with a plan for the future.  I think I smell a rat, in the form of
a physician who wanted to cover for his own failure to adequately care for
this mom and baby, by trying to put blame on you.  My personal clinical
experience is very limited, but I have seen this type of thing repeatedly,
as the wife of an OB/GYN for many years.  If she had just decided she wanted
to give up on nursing, I don't think she would have said what she did.  I
would think those words came from someone else.

It is a shame.  Without your help, the chances of this baby being breastfed
don't sound too good.
