Wow Kathleen, I don't know how you get time to read so many journals!

I find, for me and the time I have available, that using others to find the
good articles works well. The best source for me has been my subscription
to the Lactation Resource Centre (Nursing Mothers' Association of
Australia). For this I get 'Breastfeeding Review', but most of all, I get
the Accessions Lists several times a year. These are pages and pages of
titles of recent articles, plus key words, that the LRC has obtained from
searching lists like Medline, etc. Included in the subscription are
vouchers for free photocopying of 10 articles per year, and several free
literature searches. If you need more than these, you can get more at a
discounted rate.

In addition, many journals have lots of abstracts. 'Breastfeeding Review'
has pages of them. 'Breastfeeding Abstracts' from LLL is great for this as
well. Also association newsletters, like ALCA and Australian Lactation
Colleges' newsletters often carry some. All in all, I don't think I miss
many 'essential reading' type articles by doing it this way.

If anyone else is interested in subscribing to the Lactation Resource
Centre, you don't have to live in Australia. You can get more details by
emailing them at <[log in to unmask]>
