I used this pump with my first child. It worked, and I produced enough,
but then, my first was a great nurser and nursed constantly when I was
home. And I was a good pumper, and probably would have done fine
regardless. I was also driven, the pump was free (yes, used, a friend's
pump) and I didn't know any better. I also pumped on the bathroom
floor, just so you all can see how far I've come. I would NOT recommend
it to anyone who might have supply issues or who is not very driven to
breastfeed. I would recommed it for people who pump occassionally, a
couple of times a week or less. In retrospect it was probably very hard
on my breast tissue, it doesn't really cycle (unless it's changed in 8
years, which is possible), instead the woman is supposed to cycle it
themselves by putting a finger over a hole and then moving it...

According to the literature it does up to 25 sucks per minute. I thought I had heard/read that 40-60 was better for maintaining milk supply when pumping frequently but I can't find any documentation now. A large discount store has recently begun carrying the Nurture III so I am sure to get this question again. I would love to hear of any personal experiences using this pump.
