Barb Whitehead asked for stories about Jack Newman:
Maybe five years ago, Jack spoke at a conference I attended in Natick
MA. That day there was a surprise blizzard. A woman and her husband were
driving to the hospital in labor, when the roads became impassable, so they
pulled into the hotel entrance to call for an ambulance. She ended up
giving birth in the hotel lobby with Jack and a dozen lactation consultants
and nurses in attendance. Of course, the ambulance arrived to snatch her
and her baby away before we could all cheer that baby onto the breast.
Does anyone remember more details? There were a lot of Lactnetters there
that day...
