I recently had a patient in this exact scenario. She had a c/s and they
thought there must be placental fragments left even though her supply was
very abundant from day 3 on. After pushing her OB to do an ultrasound (after
8-10 weeks of bleeding) she was found to have a fibroid that developed after
delivery and 2 weeks later had a DNC to clear it. Bleeding ceased after 3 days
and has been fine since. They too thought her menstrual cycle had begun but
mom and I were not so sure since the bleeding had been continous. Good luck,
oh I also had moms iron level checked since she complained of fatigue and it
was also low...
