As a person who has remained an H long after weaning I have shopped the heck
out of bra options. As others have said bravado, decent exposures, and
Fancee Free (all of which I believe are in the motherwear catalog) all offer
differing, but good, options for nursing bras. It really depends on what
the mother wants. Does she just want light support to keep from 'flapping
around' and being uncomfortable (for me, it actually hurts to be completely
braless) or does she feel the need for firm support? Bravado for light
support , there is also a good 'sleep bra' in the motherwear catalog for
about $20 that goes up to an H. Fancee Free for firm support.

If she needs an extremely large cup, she could try www.bravissimo.com It's
a company in London, but will ship to the US. They aren't primarily nursing
bras, but offer a few good options. She might also like to know about them
for her non-nursing days. Their stuff is very good quality and they have
very good fitting instruction on their site. They aren't cheap, I spend an
average of $50 per bra - but I figure with all the money most of us waste on
this an that, good bras are in an investment in my sanity and breast
health.I don't have any financial interest in this company, blah blah
blah....

IMHO, underwire bras do not cause plugged ducts or mastitis - that is caused
by badly fitted bras which poke or restrict the breast. If the bra fits
properly the wire will lay flat against her body and not touch the breast at
all. But that is just my opinion.
