Cathy, as I read your post, Benno was/is nursing on a
"my brest friend pillow". Had a Boppy with Ursula-
was useless. (nursed through pregnancy then after her
sister was born- at least 40 mos.) When I saw the one
I have when I was pregnant with Sage I bought it
because I have carpel tunnel and was in a lot of pain
with Ursula. Loved the pillow with Sage, but didnt'
have carpel tunnel. (Sage nursed until about 30 weeks
pregnant with Benno- asked to nurse after he was born,
didnt' remember how, didn't want me to show her how.)

Now I love the "My brest Friend" with Benno. I have
carpel tunnel and it hurts to hold his head up.
(maybe I should stop typing, huh?) My right side
breast is large enough so I don't have to support him.
My left side is smaller so I do have to support him.

It's great not so much for nursing, per se, but for
when they doze off. They have all wanted to stay in
their cozy warm spot after nursing and snooze. I can
read and type and not have to support the baby with
both hands. The one I have is firm and shaped with
little dollops for the head, and it velcros around my
waist.

I can see how people abuse them, er, rather, their
nipples through improper use.

kate
