Please excuse the group thank-you, but I know I will miss someone if trying
to depend on my recall to send this message privately.

To all of you wonderful people who spoke with me individually about your
support of me as editor-in-chief of JHL (not as a volunteer) and of JHL in
general, please accept my humble gratitude. You can probably imagine how
difficult a conference this was for me (and the JHL staff AND the ERB
members). To learn how many of you were so supportive and caring really
made our concerns much easier to deal with.

And, for what it's worth, those of you unable to attend missed one of the
most delightful gatherings when LActnetters from all over filed into that
room Tom Hale talked about (tongue in cheek deeply, by the way).

While I saw Jonathon Kramer's 3-ft long camera lens, and the porno pictures
Pat Bull was passing around of fornicating lions, I never did see a single
security officer! :-) (though we probably could have used one had the
*real* Rush shown up to disrupt things.

One of the nicest things was our lovely lady who is making a friendship
quilt of LACTNETTers' signatures.

KB and I have already discussed how to arrange a special session for
LACTNET people next year (a real one, not just something thrown together at
the last minute) and also a for-real poster. My apologies for being unable
to get it together this year. Other chores simply got me too weighed down
to be able to do this. (Perhaps if someone else--or a group of you--decided
to take this on next year, it might help--someone who is CERTAIN they will
go to New Orleans in August. Wear a mask; the place smells like dead fish
that time of year.

Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed our laughter and good times at our meeting.
BTW, did you know that two people from another session nearby heard our
uproar, concluded we were having a much better time than the group they
were with, and so joined us?! How's that for a unique way to recruit new
people!

Hugs to all of you. And may we continue to meet in groups large and small
throughout 1996 and in future years...
