TIP OF THE WEEK - Virus safety, attachment awareness
---------------

There has been a lot of excitement this week about the Melissa Virus.
Tales of entire Mail Servers being brought down overnight abound. But
one thing could have prevented this mishap, awareness.

The only thing you have to do to avoid the Melissa Virus attacking your
system is not open the attachment. That's all. You don't even have to
download updates to your Anti-virus program (although that is always a
good idea.)

Always verify the attachments you receive in email. If you are not
expecting something, pick up the phone and call them, send them an
email, or go out to Western Union and send a telegram. But DON'T open
the attachment!

Many viruses require you to help install them in someway. This could be
loading an infected program on your computer, or opening an attachment
labeled Happy99.exe from your best friend. So the tip of the week here
is, verify! One rule to follow is this: When in doubt, delete.
