Mary, I thought this might be of interest.
I checked out Tom Hales site and he makes it pretty clear that progesterone is safe for bfg but does state that there may be something to the diminished supply complaint, yet it is not that significant a problem as with estrogen supplementation.  

Note: I was surprised to learn Hale was firmly against progesterone suppositories because the plasma levels of progesterone following intravaginal doses of the gels are much much higher than with the oral tablets.  He wasn't thrilled with the creams either, using the ' we don't know what's in that natural stuff complaint.'

Yes, Prometrium is safe while breastfeeding. It is derived form a natural
source...yams I believe. However, there may be a better progesterone product
for her to take. Most Dr's recommend either the vaginal suppositories or the
progesterone shots Do you know what her level is?
