Sounds like that mother has a plugged duct to me. Warm compresses, perhaps
soak in a hot tub and let her breasts dangle in the warm water would help. Or
at least make them feel better. Motrin is also helpful. And of course as you
already told her, nurse frequently. Also watch for signs of infection if it
does not move out.
