Hi all,
thought you would be interested in an update on my client with the allergic
baby. The latest was that mum was off all dairy, gluten, wheat and was
having the baby allergy tested soon. Baby was found to be allergic to
dairy, wheat, gluten (no surprises there) soy & goats milk, fish, eggs and
the list goes on. Mum has not weaned (baby now 10 months) and intends to
continue 2 - 3 feeds per day for some time (thankgoodness). apparantly dad
was still skeptical, so offered baby a sip of cows milk! almost
immediately, baby's lips started to swell and out came the phenergan. he is
convinced now. grhhhh. Baby's skin is now clear of eczema and only errupts
again if mum ingests something she should't. mind you there isn't a great
deal she can eat or drink. she was also keen to get pregnant again soon,
but have suggested that she hold off on this one because she will need to
be fairly strict with her diet during the next pregnancy.
now a question for you all. what is the best method to make 'rice milk'
that retains optimum nutrients. the alternative is a low allergy, synthetic
formula prescribed by the paed which tastes revolting and costs a fortune.
your help here would be much appreciated.

warm regards
jenni
