And educate her on the correct use of the term.  Since a 19 month old is
still a year away from the beginning of a physiologically normal weaning
age, "extended" nursing is a wholly  inappropriate term for his/her
behavior.  Like calling a 6 month fetus the product of an "extended"
pregnancy.  Makes no sense, and further distorts our perception of normalcy.
 The 7 or 8 year old who's still nursing is practicing extended nursing -
nursing at or beyond the expected age for weaning.   A 19 month old is
just... nursing.
