It's my understanding that the site is cauterized.  I would think that
breastmilk would help heal the surgical site faster.  From the standpoint
of someone who had a tonsillectomy at age 17, I couldn't eat anything but
liquid for about 2 weeks.  Well, milkshakes followed by jello were ok.
