Yes, it can.

My youngest son got diarrhea every time I ate anything containing
gluten.  I don't know if he was more sensitive because he was born
prematurely or for some other reason.  All my children were intolerant
to glutens for the first two years of life.

My youngest granddaughter seems to be similarly affected.

I wrote about this in detail within the last few months.  You may want
to check the archives.

By the way, all my children stooled frequently while on breast milk for
the entire breastfeeding course.  Is this unusual?  If so, maybe the
glutens I ate bothered all of them.
