I'm a LLL Leader who was just diagnosed with HTLV II, I've done some
research thru my APL and a search on the Lactnet archives. I would like some
direct input from those knowledgable of this disease on how to preserve my
nursing relationship with my 10 month old. My Dr. wants me to wean, but it
seems to be to prevent an unknown.

I read in Barbara Wilson Clay's post from '97 or '98- the archive isn't
cooperating right now to help me explain exactly-- that HTLV I is
contraindicated, but there was no mention of HTLV II. If anyone can direct
me to some hard copy studies and papers I can show my dr. and husband.
