I received this one on the internet today. I think she is speaking of
GFI/EZZOs. If anyone responds, please do so to her, and cc to me. Thank
you. I think we have a real chance to be of help and influence here.

Kathleen

What a great idea for a homepage! I am requesting some sources which would
back up the idea that infants should not be denied nursing during the night
in an effort to get them to "sleep through the night". Specifically, I
would like medical or scientific studies OR mainstream information that
would support this idea.
I am a mother of two small children and a member of the La Leche League. I
live in a very small conservative town where people seem much more
interested in getting their babies to sleep through the night and formula
feeding them instead of nursing on demand and being concerned for their
nutritional needs. Information that I have from the La Leche League is
considered radical and is generally dismissed.
The situation that I have run into recently is that parenting classes are
being held at a local church in my town, and the ideas that are being
suggested (not feeding your baby during the night to get him to sleep all
night) are shocking to me. So... I am searching for some non-La Leche
League information that would give another viewpoint. THANKS!!!
