I recently had a breastfeeding mother of a 6 month old tell me about how she enjoyed giving her daughter ice pops that she made from pumped breast milk. She explained that her daughter really enjoyed them, especially as they started to melt into slush, so I thought I would share. Although slightly unconventional, I imagine that they would be great for a fussy, teething baby and as a special summer "treat"?
Instructions:
Pour fresh pumped breast milk into a clean, sanitized ice cube tray
Cover with saran wrap
Freeze until solid (at least 2 hrs)
Pop out one cube a time and place in washed and sanitized mesh net teething device
Sit infant in high chair and let her enjoy!
