Fio posted about a mother who had difficulty finding the time needed for
long-term pumping to get milk for her baby with a cleft palate.

It's surely been mentioned before, but I know several employed mothers
who have found Medela's "hands-free" double-pumping adaptor to be very
useful.  These require a special bra, with an arrangement of hooks and
rubber-bands to hold the flange in place (it looks like a torture device
in the picture.)  I don't know if other manufacturers have similar
products, or if such a device works equally well on different sizes and
shapes of breasts.

Some mothers might feel this is just too much "apparatus" to mess with.
But if she already must deal with a pump, she might find it less
burdensome if she can use this "down time," to sort papers or drink a
cup of tea and read.  It might help her pump just a little longer.  This
certain fits with what several people have mentioned about encouraging a
let-down by distracting yourself from watching every drop.

A woman, such as Fio's client, in the difficult position of trying to
tend a baby while regularly pumping, might be able to at least be able
to do a few simple tasks -- a game of patty-cake maybe.

Just more multi-tasking....
