    This is a quote from an article by Lennart Righard. He also speaks of the
tendency of western mothers to put the nipple in the baby's mouth, which
leads to nipple sucking. It is wonderful to see this described in a research
article. We have to get mothers and babies started right; there is no
substitute!

"Although faulty sucking technique can be corrected later, the findings of
this study suggest that late results are not always optimal, particularly if
supplementary bottle-feeding is already introduced before remedial measures
are taken. It may be preferable to opt for early prevention rather than late
intervention."
