Factors influencing persistant yeast infection include appropriate treatment for
long enough and the status of mother's immune system and health as well as
possible reinfection. Is the mom being consistant with treatments? Could mom be
diabetic? Is she eating too much processed sugar? Could mom be anemic? Vitamin D
deficient? Sleep deprived (duh)? Could she now be infected with staph? I had
persistant yeast infection with my nursling. It was just AWFUL.

Good luck! Rowena Tucker IBCLC, Texas
