Christine,

I am not a nurse so I am not sure if this is even appropriate but, I do
remember having quite a bit of bleeding after my third was born. I was told
that the pregnancy depleted my zinc levels and with a very large placenta, I
was not healing well. Taking zinc cured the bleeding in about two weeks. I
am not sure if it would have quit on its own or there was cause and effect
but at least it is something less invasive than a hysterectomy.

Linda Pohl, IBCLC, RLC
