I had yeast infctions many times, still have, aand also on my nipples. Now
it's gone (off my nipples. I still have fequent vaginal yeast infections).

I also found out I'm sensitive to many things. Eg I've become sensitive to
daktarin (miconazole nitrate).

With your client, given the long history of yeast infections, I would check
for allergies (since she is complaining about the direct contact with
formula), and also pets. We had 4 cats and I think the yeast in their ears
have contributed to our recurrent yeast.

What helped me: I took capsules with caprylic acid (as recommended in
Baumgarten and Michel's "A women's guide to yeast infections"), and I
washed my nipples with Lactcyd. Lactacyd is sold her as a 'acid soap'. It
is made of 'milk acids'. In other words, it has acidophilus and bifidus
cultures . It is sold here as a vaginal soap, and it helps me for both my
vaginal yeast infections as for my thrush on my nipples. I'm no thrush-free
for several months.
