While I will say again that I do not advocate hiding breastfeeding in
public, I truly don't understand the stance that the feelings and
comfort of others is never of any concern.

Let me just give some other examples:
My toddler is talking loudly during a movie. He is enjoying his
conversation with me, but I take him out into the lobby...I am visiting
my grandmother in the hospital. My baby is cranky and crying and won't
even nurse. I bid my ill grandmother a hasty goodbye and go home.

Aren't there many, many situations where we put our own needs or the
needs of our children either temporarily aside or make a compromise in
order to accomodate the feelings of others?
