I think there are times when it is a good idea to attend these events hosted
by formula companies.  I think it is important to hear what they are
pitching to office nurses and physicians.  It is also revealing to see the
information they are holding up as "research" and to take the opportunity to
ask difficult questions and to be a thorn in the side of these reps.  I
often go and refuse lunch, but make sure I do alot of talking!
