Yay, Jan!

Part of the reason I wrote that I look forward to others' thoughts was because I didn't feel like checking true references either. :)   The information of 1:16 comparison is from Smith's Coach's Notebook, p. 32.  There are no references listed.  

Since posting, I have been looking for actual figures, and mine match yours perfectly.  So unless someone can find the 1:16 comparison (because I can't either), it must be a myth.  

It would be interesting to see how other nutrients in colostrum compare to formula so we have a firm reasoning of how much is appropriate if it's not human milk.  Clearly the 2 oz ready to feed bottles are not appropriate.  Good conversation.
