I know we don't think tinkering with mom's diet should do much to change
the fat content of her milk, but............I had a client who was a
vegetarian, had very little fat in her diet (or on her body), was
drinking rice milk, water, or juice for fluids, no soy. Her EBM had very
little fat layer on top also. Baby was gaining slowly. I suggested she
start including soy products in her diet. The fat layer on her EBM
increased significantly and baby started gaining. My question to the
mom/dil would be concerning her fat intake/diet.

Warmly,
