I am trying to obtain information about pica and breastfeeding. I recently
saw a breastfeeding mom (baby is six days old) who had craving for/consumed
chalk during her pregnancy and is still having cravings for it. She has
been avoiding chalk since delivered, but continues to have cravings for it.
She is concerned about any possible effects on the baby (through the
breastmilk). I have done some literature searches and have been unable to
locate any information. Does anyone have any thoughts or experience with
this situation.
