I set up a forum/messageboard "IBCLC Matters" for IBCLC's, and other lactation specialists and gave it the following description:

IBCLC is a relatively young profession in stormy weather. Many IBCLCs find themselves in awkward positions, trying to merge Scopes, Standards, laws and conscience. Public boards on breastfeeding and lactation do not offer a proper platform for the discussion on these topics.
In working as a LC many IBCLC's and other Lactation Specialists find themselves questioning common economic and politic practices around health, science and breastfeeding/human milk. For these items the lactation discussion boards don't seem to welcome much discussion, either.
For those two groups of items this is the place to be: discuss, rant, invent, brainstorm, activate, initiate, ...

I invite all Lactnetters to come and have a look and to join if the idea appeals to you.
