      Hi Rita, in your post you said that your child had a bout of thrush.
 Was the child treated with Nystatin oral susp. or another sugary type of
antifungal?  I am certainly not a dentist, but this is a very interesting
topic to me since I have hade the same problem with one of my own children.
 Brian Palmer brought the fact to my attention that my daughter had suffered
from ear infections at an early age and was treated with many oral
antibiotics (which happen to be full of sugar).  Just a thought....   Pam
