This distinction is essential, but may not be obvious to all.
I find that by making the suggestion this way, the meaning is clear:
"You can try keeping your baby on the same breast for all the feedings
during two hours, and then switch breasts for all the feedings in the
next two hours." What this implies is that more than one feeding in two
hours is to be expected.

>I am worried that moms given this advice will begin the all-too-common process of desensitizing themselves to baby's feeding cues, a brick, or many bricks perhaps, on the road to scheduling and its ills. This type of advice is easily misunderstood and when so misunderstood, is very unkind to babies.

It may also desensitize babies to their own cues, which may contribute
to unhealthy eating patterns or to the development of other emotive
response patterns -- a kind of disengagement.
"On-Cue" feeding is helpful in all kinds of ways, although I can't
articulate them without getting gushy. I'm still all warm inside because
of that post about "love templates".
