Found a few old Lactnets in my email box underneath a pile of socks that
needed to be washed. Gotta' clean out the mailbox more often.

There were a few posts about growth charts.

I would love feedback.

I have always considered growth charts to have no use whatsoever.

I am not kidding nor am I exaggerating my position. I have never helped a
baby with a growth chart, have found that they disturb parents and often get
in the way of my relationship with parents. I can understand their minimal
utility for record keeping and transmitting information from one HCP to
another but the implied messages of the percentiles are far from subtle and
dangerous to good breastfeeding and good nutrition in general. The fiftieth
percentile in weight for any age group beyond infancy is not the optimal
weight nor a measure of good health in any way.
