I am a LC in a hospital where staff use the 24% sucrose to hold off babies at night and the professional baby photo company was using it for picture taking. My manager wants me to write a clinical moment that is evidence based on why this should not happen. I can find research on using it for painful procedures but am not having any luck with side effects, diminished effectiveness or other issues with overuse. Any references would be helpful. Please email them to me if possible

Thanks
