Thanks for sharing these quotes.
I often have to laugh that now that my daughter is nearly 20, she is  
texting me daily, often late at night when we both have time to "chat" this way,  
right after I get in bed. 
I also have a rescued cat that, after 7 years, is still waking me up nearly 
 every night. He now sits by my head and purrs, a new and lovely but 
sometimes  annoying thing. If I hadn't had my son, now almost 25, who woke me up 
every 2  hours for nearly 4 years, this cat would have been put out by now ( 
I'm sure his  personality and needs are the reason he was on the street to 
begin with!). 
Life is funny how one scenario can prepare us for another.
And yes I sure do remember that period of crying when nothing I did seemed  
to help either one of us. Sigh. So glad I had LLL right in my  neighborhood.
