Julie,

Also consider Karin & Cindy's Case Studies book because it brings up
situations LLLL's don't necessarily see.  

And if you'll have to send info to MDs you may want Bfdg: A Guide for
the Medical Profession.  Rob't & Ruth Lawrence's "MDs" after their names
carry a bit more weight with other MDs.

Seriously, see if you can spend a few days shadowing an IBCLC at a
hospital, too.  It'll help with your "breastfeeding in the early hours
of life" experience so you'll know what the babies who are coming to you
in private practice have been through at your local facilities.
