I posted a long time ago about a mom that continued to pump EBM for her dying
baby. An unusual situation we may not always encounter but one we will never
forget. During my class I may bring up this story...and still it brings
tears to my eyes. The response from the class is heartwarming and touching.
I also have worked with a mom that had one breast removed in her 20's for
cancer. She struggled with nursing first baby despite family and friends
telling her it wouldn't work and WHY do it anyways. She since had her second
child and was even more determined to do better with fewer or no supplements.
I like to bring this story up in my classes as well.
