Went off to the grocery store today with casts of 1000s, and while I was
paying for some meds, an older lady came up and asked the pharmacist for the
Enfamil. "They've pulled it all" he said, due to the problem with the baby
that died last week. "Well, what am I supposed to do instead?" she
asked. Pharmacist said to call her pediatrician and ask what she should use.
Pharmacy tech that was ringing up my meds said, "She wouldn't have this
problem if she'd fed they way she was supposed to feed to start with." LOVED
IT!

Turned out the baby was the grandson, and grandma was just babysitting for
a couple of days and only had enough powdered formula to get thru the next
feeding. Pharmacist correctly directed her to the ready-to-feed....and
then I explained to her that no powdered formula was sterile, and all was
risky....figured since she looked to be about my age, she probably wouldn't
*hear* any comments about breastfeeding, though of course I could think of all
the things I COULD have said.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all 4000 of my nearest and dearest
friends!
