I agree. I was really surprised to see the tentative diagnosis of 'low milk
supply'  as I could see no evidence of it in the case history. Babies do
change their feeding patterns and their needs, and then they change them
back again to what they were before. I can't see that it is at all
significant, as long as all other signs are okay.

Mothers do get worried at apparent changes like this, but surely it is more
helpful to encourage the mother to 'go with the flow' as far as possible
and support her through the adjustments necessary for this, rather than
trying to 'fix' a milk supply problem that isn't there.

Isn't this just another example of 'look at the baby, not the clock'?? : )

And on a purely practical level, isn't this approach easier than messing
about with diet, worrying about rest, seeking out  herbal galactogogues and
so on?  By the time you've done all that, the baby may be doing something
else different anyway : )
