 I have noticed that the PA programs do not educate their  students on the various aspects of lactation which leads to few PA's having adequate training to deal with basic lactation questions and problems (mastitis, engorgement, latching, positioning). As PA"s have more patient contact nowadays then in the past,  I wanted to know what you as IBCLCs have come across in your practices in regards to PA's and their knowledge and ability to handle lactation related issues.
