I couldn't agree more. In fact, when people ask what kind of business I do, I usually reply that I'm in breastfeeding or optimal nutrition business.

Subject: Food as 'medicine'

 I have heard many of you contemplate variations of this theme over the past
few weeks, I finally thought I would chime in and offer a quote I think many of
us will appreciate.

Years ago as I prepared a class handout on nutrition for perinatal classes I
came across these words:

"Let food be your medicine." Hippocrates

The father of medicine was apparently very familiar with the use of herbs and
food as disease and illness prevention and remedies for various conditions.

Clearly this applies to the power of breastmilk!
