January 16, 2005 -- It's not just babies sucking down breast milk anymore.
In small but growing numbers, adults are swigging it themselves hoping for a
miracle cure for cancer and therapy against a host of other ailments.

Mary Rose Tully, former chair of the Human Milk Banking Association of North
America, says the use of breast milk by adults will only grow as more
research shows its medicinal uses, like last October's findings that it can
cure warts.
That means pharmaceutical companies will take more interest, and breast milk
may become a commodity.
Chemical giant Sigma-Aldrich is already supplying breast-milk components to
researchers.
