On the contrary, if you *need* a drug for depression, sertraline
(Zoloft) is probably the *best* of choices, at least from the point of
view of the nursing mother.  The baby ends up with undetectable
amounts in the milk, and the April 17, 1997 New England Journal of
Medicine has a small article on how there is no *pharmacologic* effect
either.

MAO inhibitors should be used with caution in *anyone*.  Drinking red
wine, or eating certain cheeses or other foods may result in severe
bad reactions.
