Hi all

I am still new to this group and have found it very enriching to read all of these posts

I am trying to research containers for milk. I tried an archives search using "storage containers for milk" and even "milk-bank storage containers for milk" but haven't come up with anything.

At our hospital we have always given the mothers bottles of sterile water (provided by the formula companies) and instructed the mothers to pour out the water and use the bottles to pump milk into.

Now the bottles come witht he message "not for breastmilk storage" written on the label. Understandably the parents are concerned when they see this.

I am trying to find an inexpensive alternative to give to the parents.

What do milk banks use?

What do other NICU's do?

Thanks

Cathy Loughman RN IBCLC
