Well, for someone with a Ph.D. in human nutrition and a postdoc in
developmental immunology, the relationship between "refined sugar"
(sucrose, glucose, dextrose, fructose ???) and "immune suppression"
(T-dependent, independent, complement-mediated, Th1, Th2 ???) is a new
one on me. I would LOVE to see the references. In any case, I would
advise against attributing mastitis to a diet containing a high
proportion of "refined sugar."
