I think Dr. Hale's info is the best, as he cites the primary research on
using the meds and breastfeeding. Make sure to include his refs at the end
of his section on each drug. Did you also check his other book which (sorry)
the title escapes me now, "Clinical ....."???? Anyway, in that book, it goes
by each disease process, so look under analgesia. He will go thru a
discussion about what is used and what is best for analgesia for bf moms.
Also you can cite the Sept 97 Pediatrics AAP Recommendations on Meds. They
list the med and any concerns re the bf infant. I think that would show the
problems w/ demerol.
