May I suggest that this is a topic that needs *research*. Perhaps someone
on Lactnet is planning an Honours thesis and is looking for topic? So
often a topic is mentioned for which there is as yet no evidence, and I
encourage all of you who are embarking on research to consider some of the
topics recently raised.

Good study design is essential. The resulting research may support an
association, or find no association, and it then needs to be followed by
other research.

Subject: virgin coconut oil and milk blebs

Hi,

Could application of virgin coconut oil on the nipples contribute to
developing milk blebs because of the high amount of saturated fats? To my
knowledge high internal consumption of saturated fat might contribute to
occurrence of milk blebs (although I haven't found any research evidence of
that).
Thanks for you input, appreciate it.

Cheers,
