Susan, and good luck on your study,and thank you for pointing out that
there are no absolutes in the world, or rarely few. This is not to say that
we  as LCS don't feel  wrath and  rage, when breastfeeding mothers are
treated badly and with ignorance..or that sometimes, we can  things too
personally in a discussion because it rings our "chimes..."

....When we combine absolutes with judgement, we often risk making
statements that are inaccurate. In this case, it can lead to a judgement
that may cause pain. Rather than devote our energies to judgements, or
proscriptions, I suggest that we all return to our study of the process of
lactation, and clinical issues, and that we try to remember that there are
always exceptions. Let's focus on prevention...shall we?  Kathleen
