As Kay Hoover's friend and co-author on the Breastfeeding Atlas project, I
must correct any misunderstanding about her credentials.  Kay is not a
nurse, (she has an MS in Education) but she is very much an IBCLC.  In fact,
she serves as the non-nurse representative to the IBLCE, and currently
chairs the Certification Committee, where so many big decisions about the
credential are debated.
Kay is one of the pioneers of our field and represents the IBCLC credential
with intelligence, integrity, and great personal dignity.
