Yesterday I had a very interesting talk with a pediatrician active in the
European Pediatric Association (I'm not sure if this is the right name for
this organization - we discussed it in Hebrew. We in Israel belong to
Europe in this matter). He said that in Europe bf is much more neglected
than in the US. The AAP statement has no European counterpart, and most bf
specialists are in the US. I am not sure he is right. He further said that
this European Pediatric Association has decided to further bf in Europe,
and designated money for this. He asked me whether I knew any bf poeple in
Europe, and also to write some kind of proposal for bf projects. I haven't
yet gotten the details, so I don't know what exactly he means. He thaught
it could be a good idea for us to "show the way" in this matter.

I would very much thank our European friends for information on the "state
of bf" in their countries, names of professionals in the bf field, and how
to contact them.

I will tell you more about this when I have the information.
